Faith Alive is our St. Susanna faith formation opportunity for ALL 7th & 8th grade students. Faith Alive meetings are on Monday from 6:15-8:15 and Tuesday from 4-6 in the youth room in the undercroft.  We’ll have faith, food and fun! Please come. Your friends are also welcome, so bring them along!

This year, Faith Alive is BEAST! (That’s Boldly Experiencing Authentic Sacramental Truth) At each meeting, we are going to try to answer three questions.

a. What is the issue of middle school which is being presented?

b. What are some positive ways that you could deal with this as a Catholic Christian?

c. How does this relate to living a sacramental life?

  What is FAITH ALIVE

Faith Alive is THE youth group (faith formation program) for all 7th and 8th grade students. Both public and Catholic school students are needed and welcomed in this peer community of faith. Meetings are offered twice a week during the school year: Mondays 6:15-8:15 & Tuesdays from 4:00-6:00 in the Youth Room in the Undercroft.A fun, large group ice-breaker activity begins each meetings so that the diverse group get acquainted with each other and to begin to focus on the topic of the night.  The presentation part of the meeting includes a prayer ritual with Scripture and contemporary Christian music videos followed by a short talk about the topic of the week. The large group is then broken down into smaller groups of 8-14 students led by an adult facilitator and a high school PA’s. This is so important so that students can share their perspective on the topic and how they are living their Catholic Christian faith. Each meeting closes with petition prayer. Faith Alive offers two over-night retreats - one in the fall and one in the winter as well as periodical service projects. Meetings are offered twice a week during the school year.  Snacks are served at each meeting!
We have faith, food and fun! Please come. Your friends are also welcome, so bring them along!

CORE is the group of youth leaders open to ALL 7th and 8th graders who are comfortable sharing their faith and serving the St. Susanna community.   There is an application which describes the responsibilities.  Two times a year, the CORE students host a mini Faith Alive meeting for the 6th grade CFP classes. CORE students will serve as a training ground for PA’s.
