Mission Statement
St. Susanna Preschool is a ministry for families of yourng children dedicated to nurturing the whole child in spirit, body and mind. The program offers a nurturing, educational and creative experience in a loving Catholic environment. St. Susanna Preschool leaders are committed to providing age appropriate learning opportunities for each child to develop a strong spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and physical base to last a lifetime.
Curriculum
The program has a center-based curriculum that recognizes young children learn best through play. The teachers provide opportunities within each center for children to explore God’s world through touch, smell, taste, observation and interaction. The centers include science, art, fine motor, language arts, building, imaginative play, and prayer. In addition, the schedule includes planned group activities, circle time instruction. We also strive to allow for families to network, connect, and socialize throughout the year. The curriculum is age and developmentally appropriate with a focus on the Catholic Faith, nature, social skills, fine and gross motor skills and Kindergarten readiness.
Teacher Qualifications
The teachers and assistants are degreed, CPR and First Aid certified and hold current certification in Child Protection from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, as well as the state. In addition, the teachers regularly attend seminars and workshops for early childhood educators.
