Jesus Christ is the center of everything undertaken by the St. Susanna Parish Community. In our worship celebrations, parish ministries, educational pursuits, recreational activities, business dealings, family and personal relationships, we will strive to live the following Core Values:
Spirituality
We recognize and are strengthened by Jesus’ presence in the Sacraments, Scripture, community, and prayer. We are constantly being called to a deeper relationship with God. Through the prompting of the Holy Spirit, we reflect God’s presence in the way we live our lives.
Respect for all persons
We honor the God-given dignity of each person. We recognize the variety and difference of others and treat them in a respectful, welcoming, and caring manner. In this way we reflect, and are, the love of Jesus Christ.
Service
Jesus came to serve rather than to be served. We will serve others within and beyond our community with Jesus as our model.
Stewardship
All that we are and all that we have are gifts from God. We receive these gifts gratefully and are called to cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord.
Hospitality
Our community reflects our love for others through our warmth, compassion, and welcoming environment. All are welcome.
Personal Christian Conduct
Our individual behavior and personal interactions are an opportunity to reveal Jesus to others. At all times and in all situations, our words and actions should reflect the words and actions of Jesus.
